Important Nominet Module Update

By Matt / July 5th, 2013

This is an announcement for users of the Nominet module in WHMCS.

On the 9th July 2013, Nominet have announced they will be withdrawing their current API which is based on a custom EPP protocol, instead switching to a more standardized version of the EPP Schema. Therefore if you are using the Nominet module with WHMCS, you will need to apply the following update before this date to avoid any interruptions in service.

How to Upgrade Your Nominet ModuleSimply download the updated Nominet module from the link below and upload the files contained within the zip file to the /modules/registrars/nominet/ folder of your WHMCS installation. No other changes are necessary, and all previous configuration will transition automatically to the new module.

This module is compatible with WHMCS Version 4.5 and Later.

NB: Nominet have advised that there will be a service outage lasting approximately 1 hour on the 9th July 2013 at 7am BST while the old API is removed. This will likely cause you to see errors within WHMCS when working with Nominet domans even if you update to the new module, but these need not be any cause for concern.
