Following the V4.4 release which introduced the addon modules system, here is the first in a series of new addon modules for WHMCS - an EU VAT Billing/Invoicing Mod.

This combines the VAT Validation hook function that has always been included in WHMCS, and the "Set Invoice Date to Date of Payment Mod" (https://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=27523) in addition to some new options.

Functionality includes:

• the ability to automatically setup EU member state tax rules
• automatic validation of VAT Number field input with the VIES Validation Service (https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/) - supersedes previous hook for easier configuration
• the ability to assign custom invoice number formats when invoices are generated
• the ability to configure proforma/sequential paid invoice numbering (as exists already in General Settings > Invoicing)
• the ability to configure automatic resetting of the sequential paid invoice numbers
• the ability to have invoice dates automatically updated when invoices are paid

To install simply download the mod from the community addons directory @ www.whmcs.com/members/communityaddons.php?action=viewmod&id=219 and then upload the files to the addons directory. Further instructions are included in the addon listing.
