WHMCS Version 2.4 is on track for being released on 15th April 2006. It will not be recommended that everyone upgrades at this time as it could still contain a few bugs at that stage - let's call it a BETA release, but after a few days of thorough testing by some users a final release will then be made.

So what's actually going to be in Version 2.4?

New Features

• Authorize.net Support
• DirectI Registrar Support
• New Configurable Product Options - Different to Addons in that the user can choose from a variety of options when selecting a package which alter the price
• Ability to assign packages to be setup on a certain server by default (eg. Free packages on one server & paid accounts on another)
• 2CheckOut Callback (Automatically marks invoices paid)
• Promotions will be able to apply to certain payment terms only (ie. offer 10% off when paid yearly)
• A simple one page order form will be created using Advanced Ajax Scripting
• Users will be able to request a cancellation from their client area
• Monitoring of Administrators with Login & Logout Times and IP logged - Be able to see who is currently logged in
• Hosting Packages will show the amount of disk space and bandwidth used by the account in WHM and as a percentage of the available total in the admin and client area
• Many more filtering options will be added to filter and find packages and support tickets
• New Reports Including: Product Sales Summary (Total Number of Active accounts for each Product), Support Tickets Summary (Number of tickets & replies per month), Promotions Usage Summary (Number of signups using each coupon in the system) & Disk Space & Bandwidth Summary
• Mass Mail Features will be added to allow you to email clients on certain packages, email clients on certain servers
• Affiliates Area will be improved - Monthly earnings statements will be emailed to affiliates, payments to affiliates will be automated (only for future affiliate signups, not ones already in the system)
• Gateway transactions details will be logged to aid in troubleshooting issues

Bug Fixes & Improvements

• New Streamlined Interface for the Administration Area
• Option to Mark an Invoice paid manually without sending a confirmation
• You will be able to modify the order date when creating packages in a clients profile
• Invoices will have the option to show your company name and address
• Clients will be able to specify a Company Name when signing up for invoices to be billed to
• Support to view Monthly Signups for any month, not just the current month
• Bug Fix: Users address details will be passed to 2CheckOut to save re-entering
• Option to sort by client name added to hosting accounts list
• Bug Fix: Standard Order Form step number is wrong after many visits to the order form
• Bug Fix: Monthly Earnings Report displaying incorrect servers when using multiple servers
• Bug Fix: Addons will have Billing Cycle One Time added to management page
• Added Security for Admin Area
