WHMCS 9.0.7 and WHMCS 8.13.6 are now available as maintenance releases for the 9.0 and 8.13 series.
This round of updates addresses several security items alongside routine platform fixes. We'd encourage everyone running WHMCS to apply the update promptly rather than leave it for a later maintenance window.
Maintenance and Security Updates
A portion of the changes in WHMCS 9.0.7 and WHMCS 8.13.6 relate to the security of the platform.
In line with our usual practice, we are withholding technical specifics on these fixes so that users who haven't yet updated aren't put at additional risk. We don't have further comment to add on these items at this stage.
These releases also include a smaller set of general maintenance fixes. Full details for both release series are available in the linked changelogs below.
Given the security scope of this release, we'd ask that you treat updating as a priority rather than something to schedule for later.
Updating Your WHMCS Installation
The quickest way to update is through the Automatic Updater in your WHMCS admin area, under
Utilities >
Update WHMCS.
If you'd rather handle the update manually, complete release builds and incremental patches are available from the WHMCS
download page.
Whatever method you use, take a full backup - files and database - before you begin.
Staying Current
Regular maintenance releases are one of the more effective ways to keep a WHMCS installation secure and dependable over time.
We'd ask that you apply this update for your release series soon, so your installation keeps the benefit of the latest fixes and protections available.
Thanks, as always, for your continued support of WHMCS.
