By Lia / September 21st, 2020

Automating all aspects of your business is our mission here at WHMCS. Whether it's your reselling process, billing or support, WHMCS comes with many tools to help you automate and streamline your day-to-day operations.

To help you grow and scale, WHMCS also comes with built-in tools and integrations with leading marketing apps. In this blog post, we'll take a deep dive into these tools and integrations that could help you optimise your marketing efforts.
Google Analytics Integration
Google Analytics is a free platform from Google allowing you to track and monitor your website visitors - from their demographics, to how they find your site, how they navigate through it, how they become customers and more. The Google Analytics integration in WHMCS gives you valuable insights into how your website and marketing activities perform and convert.

And thanks to the E-commerce integration in WHMCS, detailed information about product purchases and order value is made available directly within Google Analytics to give you detailed and granular reporting of each products performance, conversion rate and average order value linked to your campaigns, referrers and more. These detailed insights are invaluable in determining performance of your various marketing strategies and can really help guide your overall customer acquisition strategy.
Coupled with integration with Google Adwords, this integration is an invaluable tool to help you understand visitor behaviours and maximise your ROI.

Email Marketer tool and Mailchimp Integration
You can use the Email Marketer and Mailchimp Integrations to send automated emails to your customers.

The native Email Marketer tool in WHMCS allows you to set up scheduled automated emails when certain events or criteria are met.

For example, you can use it to send a drip feed campaign when a user purchases one of your products, or to follow up a few days after an initial order with further offers or a complimentary product offering.

You can set up automated emails based on several criteria - from product/ service related rules such as what products a customer has or not have, to client-based rules such as how long they have been a customer.

You can also use Mailchimp to send automated emails and thanks to the E-commerce integration in WHMCS, you can take advantage of Mailchimp's advanced e-commerce automation to set up emails based on customer behaviours within WHMCS. The integration takes care of automatically syncing your customers and their transaction data with Mailchimp to allow for sophisticated rule based behaviour to be used. For example you can send follow-ups for abandoned carts, special offers to your best customers and follow-up a set number of days after the purchase of a given product.
Mailchimp has a Free Plan that permits up to 2,000 subscribers and allows up to 10,000 emails to be sent per month - more than many small businesses will ever need. Email Campaigns
In WHMCS 8.0, we're introducing a new bulk email campaign utility that replaces Mass Mail for sending one-off email campaigns to your customers. The new Email Campaigns tool provides a more robust set of functionality for sending emails to your customers with features such as scheduled sending, automatic retries, lower rate limiting and integration with email delivery provider services.

The Sending Report will show if there are any failed emails and the retry capabilities ensure all failed emails are sent successfully. The new email tool also comes with the ability to create drafts giving you the ability to compose your email messages over time and only send once you are ready.

We're continuously adding features and integrations to WHMCS to help you market and grow your business. If you haven't tried some of these tools yet, give them a try and see how they can help you automate and streamline your marketing efforts.
