WHMCS 7.9's headline new features are Usage Billing and PayPal Checkout.

Usage Billing in WHMCS 7.9 enables you to bill your customers for what they've used and consumed, opening up many more product and pricing configuration capabilities. Bill for usage of resources such as Disk Space, Bandwidth, Addon Domains, MySQL Databases and more using the new usage and metric billing functionality. Configure pricing with a choice of pricing schemes and have invoices generated automatically based on usage data provided to WHMCS.

PayPal Checkout offers a new and improved PayPal Checkout experience for end users featuring Checkout with PayPal for faster checkout and higher conversions, automated pre-filling of new user signup and more.

Other new features in WHMCS 7.9 include cPanel Per Account Billing, Stripe ACH and SEPA support, GoCardless ACH support, SiteLock VPN via MarketConnect, Admin Service Quick Look, Domain Renewal Maximum Term Enforcement, Conditionally Required Additional Domain Fields and more.
